Great idea instead of dumping water over and over from your shop vac

Goto home depot and get a shop vac with a drain on it. They have a pump you can connect to the drain on the vac and your hose so you can pump the water straight out. I just hooked it up and its working great to keep the constant flow out of the basement.

Cost of said setup is about $130. But well worth it

ive got allot hoes.

I would be still concerned over burning out the shop vac, for that price you can pretty much pick up another sump. but if in a pinch and need to macguyver, naturally this kicks ass. etc.

wat?wat?

sump wont work there. some sewer pipes have water gushing up faster than a sump can spit it out.

Plus if the vac burns out then i take it back and get anotha. Its been running all day and working great. Just sucks tomorrow i gotta go and tear the carpet out

How many GPH does the shop vac do?

Just curious, because you can get 3,000 GPH pumps for well under $100.00

Everyone Exaggerates

its not the pump that will restrict it. Its the drain pump that slows it down. Because this thing will suck up 6 gallons within seconds.

For future endeavors, look into utility pumps. We use little giant pumps all the time and have had good luck. We recommend 'em in most applications, let me know if you need the hook up.
