johnny walker green label

Suck my balls batman!! This shit is strong. Going down it taste like cow hide leather. the aftertaste is dry. I'm sitting here trying to figure it out and that's really all I can come up with. Smooth and it goes down warm but give it a second or two and it really lights a fire and warms u up when it hit bottom.

It is pretty good. I look forward to enjoying this bottle and the sbjd to try something else.

I am drinking it dry. No ice not water @ room temp.

funny the green label is the only one i enjoyed out of black, red, green, gold, and blue. my buddy brought back a jw sample pack from duty free shop and we went through all 5 pints in a night with a couple buddies to see which one we liked the best. my vote was for the green with the gold a close second. i'm not a huge scotch drinker so this may be ass backwards but i know what my taste buds like.

JW Blue is what got me into Scotch. Previously, all I'd had was black. Nasty stuff.

Blue was soooo smoove, it got me to realize that Scotch, if done right can be pretty good stuff.

I find that I can taste scotch better on the rocks. The cold seems to take some of the bite out of the alcohol to let the other flavors come through better.

Went to my scotch place tonight and got the Flight of the Glens, all neat
Glenfarclas 15 - this stuff was interesting, very robust flavor to it. Not sure whether I like it, but I want to try more.
Glenfiddich 15 - smoooove.
Glenlivet Nadurra 16
Glenmorangie (I think)

I got a wine place by me that does flights, but no scotch place. Might be a nice place for a road trip! The only way I get new stuff up here is if I buy a bottle or I get offered some. Not the most cost effective.

Yeah, the place is a gem. My buddy that got me into scotch came down and visited and was floored by their selection. IIRC, its something like 50+ single malts.

If you ever make it down to Bloomington, check out the Irish Lion. Food is pretty good too. I like the mutton pies.

If anyone is looking for a superb collection of Scotch around here try Duke of Perth on Clark about 1/4 mile north of Diversey. Colin the owner is a cool guy and he races bikes too. This is an authentic Scottish pub.

my body hurts.

3 glasses of green label, 2 glasses of black label and a sip of something that tasted like terpintine.

HAHAHAHA Yeah Scotch can do that to you. I felt like shit the day after staying a night in Speyside walking distance from The GlenLivet and GlenFiddich.

Hmmm, after looking at that list, I've realized I haven't tried many of the Highland varieties. Almost all of the Scotches I typically drink are Speysides.

I am a huge fan of the Speysides and almost all of the highlands malts. The Isle stuff can be a little to smokey and peaty for me.

Same here. I tried some Talisker 18, and that stuff was like drinking alcoholic campfire.

I'm going to take the Highland Flight tonight, methinks.

Rep!

I love the smoky stuff, cheese, meat, scotch, etc. I haven't had Talisker yet though, I'll buy a bottle this weekend as I've had a hell of a week. I'll report back after the hangover.
