I googled.
Damn, these things cost a lot of dough and are huge! I thought I could just buy bottles and caps and fill them up with Chicago Tap water and sell!

Go to sams club is discounted for resale.

If you are selling these I think there are some legal issues with filling it with tap water without have a system set up and approved by the health dept of the county.

What about selling it "outside the US...?"

As I understand it, regulations aren't as strict in "some places!"

I think there's a new treaty with Canada that doesn't allow export of Great Lakes water

Sorry, should have been clearer.
The agreement doesn't allow anyone to export Great Lakes water to another region or country. Don't know if it's signed & sealed yet, but it's an attempt by the 8 States and Ontario to protect Great Lakes water from exploitation and export.

There was someone pushing a plan a bit back to pipe water from Lake Superior to the headwaters of the Colorado River so Cali and LA could get water from the Great Lakes. Of course, everyone along the way wanted some as well.
