Chicago man is thrown from bike after losing control

Tribune staff report
September 22, 2008

A Chicago man died in a motorcycle crash late Saturday on the Racine Avenue exit ramp of the Kennedy Expressway, police said.

Edward Massas, 33, of the 800 block of West Adams Street was thrown from his motorcycle after losing control at 700 N. Racine about 11:30 p.m. No other vehicles were involved, police said.

Massas was not wearing a helmet, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.

The cause is under investigation.

It's kind of sad some of the comments ppl are leaving on that board. I thought I was pretty heartless but some of those ppl really show me up.
I agree with 2wheelpilot, we all know to wear our gear. But was a human being, and although I'm not crazy about cops when they're behind me, I do have respect for them.
I do feel bad for his family.
