Death in the family

As much as it hurts me to post this but I got the call a few days ago that my grandma passed away. The worst part is she passed away in my mom's arms, so i can't even imagine what she's going through. I know it hasn't really set in yet. Just been trying to keep busy because i know at the wake/funeral its gonna hit hard.

Sorry to hear. If your grandma was anything like mine was, the pain will be great, but the joy of the memories of time spent with her will sustain you over time.

My condolences.

Its hard to experience death... and you will experience your loss in many ways. I'm sorry to hear of this and my thoughts are with you and your family.

We've had four family deaths in the past 5 years and each one hurts as much as the last.... We have found that a good way to keep focus on things is to remember all of the good times and all the things learned from the people we miss.

One thing I learned form losing my grandparents is that they have so much wisdom that it was impossible to capture it all during my time spent with them.... I consider all that I have learned from them a valuable gift.

You have my condolences, and I'm so sorry for your loss, especially for your mom. I watched my girlfriend take her last breath after a short battle with cancer. I was in such a state of mental & emotional shock that it actually helped me get through the wake & funeral, but I was wreck afterwards.
You never get over the loss of a loved one, you just learn how to deal with it. Always remember the good times & wisdom your grandmother shared with you. Take nothing for granted.
