Trying to find a helmet

So last weekend I was helmet shopping, I found one that I fell in love with but they didn't have it in a color I wanted, so now the hunt is on. What I am looking for is the HJC FS-2 half helmet in wine or black, size small. I have been to Fox Valley Honda and DGY, called LVC and Honda House, can't find one. Can someone recommend another shop that's relatively close to try? I wanted to have one for the weekend, otherwise I'd just order the one I want. Thanks!

chicago performance is a member here, and his shop is in northlake. otherwise, chicago cycle has a large selection.

Have you tried a Harley shop? Black half helmets are very popular with the HD crowd....Illinois Harley on Harlem in Berwyn has a good selection. So does Wild Fire on Norh avenue west of 83. I know Illinois is an HJC dealer.

Downers Grove Harley on Ogden? Otherwise you can borrow my spare

Tried Heritage Harley in Lisle, they only sell their brand. Thanks for the recommendation on the other shops, but I don't think I could make it that far north before they close.

It's looking like I'll have to borrow one for this weekend and get one ordered in the size and color I want.

please buy a full face helmet, they protect far far better. I had a half helmet with i relegated to demo derby duty after seeing an impact/injury chart for helmets. The price difference isnt much either.

That said... try calling schaumburh honda suzuki and woodfield motorsports

+1

A half helmet provides about as much protection as strapping a salad bowl on your head.

Thanks guys! I appreciate the concern. By the time you posted that I had already gotten the half helmet. I wanted a half because I am on the back and be bumping a full face helmet with my husbands. I can always get a full face too, maybe a Christmas present.
