MySpace and Facebook

Why do so many people have these pages?
I truly don't understand the benefit of them.
I've looked at maybe 5 myspace pages and find them so ridiculously annoying.
Its a hella long page with stupid music and other visitors telling them how much they love them and miss them and why dont you ever call and when can we get together and youre the best and youre beautiful and I love you page and we'll have to get together soon and..and..

Seriously, what's the point of those sites?
Enlighten me

social networking sites. Good for keeping in touch with friends. I find facebook less offensive in terms of annoying crap, and a nice way to keep in touch with friends I don't see as often. Myspace is a clusterf*ck, but great if you want to pick up high school chicks.

Keeping in touch with folks that are far away, and on the move. I've got bunch of friends overseas, and this is much cheaper, not to mention there isn't the whole being 8+ hours off on the timezone, and having to call them at the right time. Throw in buddies from the military, we're constantly on the move. Phone numbers change, so does our location, but the website is always there.

I have family overseas and my friends from years gone by live far away. It's easier to keep in touch without having to try to call when it's a good time for everyone. I joined MySpace when someone sent me an invite to the page created for my highschool reunion.

I like MySpace and Facebook to keep in contact w/clients out of state (musicians) and friends from all over the globe.

Mine is private though, I'm not much of a "Friend Collector", I don't see the point.

The right way is not always the popular and easy way. Standing for right when it is unpopular is a true test of moral character

LOVE MYSPACE........ I keep in touch with family and friends. Post Tons of pictures to share with everyone!!!!!! But you have to be added on my friends list or you see nothing! Great way to mass mail with the bulletin option too!

Facebook - It's ok I have it also, but just to keep in touch with the punks that won't go to myspace. It's kinda boring in Facebook.

Myspace is a beautiful thing for teenage sex. I wish it was around when I was a teen, I was stuck trying to pimp on AOL over dial-up.

High School Sex Increase with the internet? - Did you guys not have 40's and Wine Coolers around while you were in HS? - Hell, I am who I am today due to HS Parties - Our school had over 5000 students in it so someone's parents were always out of town - 40's for the guys, Wine Coolers for the girls - Bon Jovi Slippery When Wet - Unsuspecting Parent Bedroom - Game Over!

Geez - Candy from a baby really

DM, The Cure, The Smiths, Echo & The Bunnymen were all the Music once the covers got pulled back - Bon Jovi was the music to drink, sing and grab ass to in order to gauge the level of both drunkness and willingness - We pretty much had it down to a science - By the end of Junior Year, we had to start going to other HS's parties which was not as easy but we had exhausted all the resources at home - HS was a fucking blast and became quite the springboard for College
