There's no good or bad pizza puffs. They all get them from the same place frozen and they deep fry them. If it's something different it ain't no pizza puff. Damn I want one now.

I haven't had one in years. There was a place in Hanover Park on Irving and Barrington that used have good ones. Like 20 years ago.

Calzone is definitely not a pizza puff.

Pizza puffs are like Tostinos frozen pizza rolls but bigger, usually pretty flat, with flaky crust cooked by dipping into hot oil.

I noticed them for the 1st time this spring & it's definitely worth checking out. Food is pretty good. Only real issue can be time. They usually rotate the commonly ordered Calzones through the ovens at lunch time but if you go "custom" or try one of their specialties, expect to wait 15 or 20 minutes.

If bug is talking about Chicago Pizza and Oven Grinders, that place makes awesome Pizza Pot pie, but I don't think its the anything like a pizza puff sounds like.

Tony, if you want to go, lets plan a day. I need to get back to that place.

There is a place on van buren that has pizza puffs. It's called the works.
