Prayer request for my daughter.

The title says prayer, I know we all come from different backgrounds and beliefs, etc.

Please say a prayer for my daughter, who will be having open heart surgery, Oct 9, to repair her aortic valve. This is not her first, nor will it be her last operation, but at 11 yrs old, it’s not something any child should have to deal with.

We feel a little more at ease, knowing the surgeon is one of the highest ranked in his field, as well as the Hospital, in pediatric care. He performed her first operation, and thankfully, is still available for this one as well.

Children are such a blessing, that are so often taken for granted. If you’re a parent, tonight take an extra moment, to appreciate the gift they are, and be thankful of the joy they give.

A picture of Jaki with her puppy.

I probably won’t be near a computer for a while, to update her condition. Just know that my family appreciates your thoughts and prayers throughout this time.

Ken.

My Garage.

It may be that your sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

god speed on recovery.

Willard: When I was home after my first tour, it was worse. I'd wake up and there'd be nothing. I hardly said a word to my wife, until I said "yes" to a divorce. When I was here, I wanted to be there; when I was there, all I could think of was getting back into the jungle.

My family and I will gladly prayer for your daughter.

Specifically, we are praying the God would give the doctors wisdom and understanding and that He would guide the surgeon's hands as they perform the surgery. We are also praying that God would heal your daughter quickly as she recovers from the surgery and that He would give your whole family hope and encouragement through this difficult time.
