A guy and girl on one bike, one guy on the other left a bar in the early morning headed home. They were rolling down I-80 when the guy's/girl's bandana blew off. The rider who only got injured stopped to grab it, and tried to catch up. He ran into the wreckage of the other bike which had apparently rearended a semi. From the account I got it was pretty brutal with parts scattered everywhere. Not just bike parts. I would venture a guess that alcohol was involved.

That's what I heard, I can't guarantee any accuracy.
My friend from work, who also rides, was pretty shaken up as you could imagine.

Sucks to hear, they paid the ultimate price. Hopefully others will learn, and thier deaths wont be for nothing.

Yeah, I got an update on this. The deceased rider was intoxicated, and was recovering from an accident he had earlier this year, again riding intoxicated. The deceased female passenger had met the rider two days earlier.

This never had to happen. It's bad enough when cars and trucks take us out, we don't need to do it to ourselves.

i feel for the families of the deceased especially the passenger as she was simply along for the ride but it seems like some bleach got into the gene pool with this one, "The deceased rider was intoxicated, and was recovering from an accident he had earlier this year, again riding intoxicated"

I dont want to sound cold or heartless but...

I agree.
I don't think this was much of a surprise. At least that was the impression I got.

Cold and heartless describes the people who see a motorcycle accident and automatically assume it was the bikers fault and they "got what they deserved"
