I just got home. I was at a birthday party. The other guest went to a Haunted House, I had the little one so we called it a night. I'm in my jammies, with my little dog snuggled up on the couch. The kids in bed, and I'm watching a movie. I have the Jeff Dunham dvd's ready to watch later.

I don't ride, I cook!

There's a stand in Chicago Ridge at 103rd and ridgeland ave that makes them to order. Or you can buy a mix (if you don't want to make your own) and make them yourself.

I don't ride, I cook!

FUNNEL CAKES

1 1/2 cups flour
2 eggs
1 cup milk
3 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 1/4 teaspoons salt

Combine all ingredients. Drop mixture through a large funnel into hot peanut or vegetable oil (365F-375F) and fry until golden. Remove to paper towels using a slotted spoon. When cool, place in a clean paper bag and shake with confectioners' sugar. Alternatively, drizzle with syrup or honey just before serving.

yes it does, gotta measure really carefully and keep the ratios right. You need to be really careful with how quickly you apply heat. I've ruined a few batches but without failure success is not as sweet, or in the case beery cheesy goodness.
