Heat is set to 60 degrees unless the kids are there. Yeah, it's quite chilly. I keep sweatshirts nearby if there isn't a fire going.

Since i have no heater right now its space heaters to keep this place goin until the new furnace goes in

I usually keep the temp at 70-74, if the heat needs to kick on then so be it. Plus i just started jogging in the morning so even 50 deg feels warm to me.

Jeezus! 70-74? That's like a sauna. Do you just give blowjobs to your utilities companies for discounts?

70 is comftorble, anything under that and its freezing. Plus i weigh 180 so i cant take cold as much as you fat fucks do . I already pitched out cash for a new furnace, im waiting to get some extra cash to get my windows replaced. That way the house is a shitton more energy efficient.

I agree, 70 is comfortable. Mine floats between 68-72.

I just recently turned the heat on, very LOW!

It was getting CHILLY....... I turn it off though when no one will be home or just in the kids' room. No heat on in my bedroom but I'm one who HAS to have a fan facing me at night so I have a lot of blankets, haha.

Heh, I've been keeping my patio/balcony door cracked open for weeks and FINALLY closed it yesterday.

I'll probably be breaking out the heavier blankets for the bed this week, but otherwise, still haven't touched my heat. I can bundle up and the dog doesn't care about the cold, so we're good.

both upstairs and downstairs units are set to 67. They've kicked on a couple of times but not for very long.

Just unblock the windows and let the sun in to warm things up. Also, bake something Dual use of the oven heat....

Everyone Exaggerates

Something I did last year that saved me money... Go on Domestications.com and order "Cashmina" sheets/comforters. They're soft, plush and keep u really really warm. (Did I forget to mention REALLY inexpensive?)

I never set the heat over 60 in the winter!

The right way is not always the popular and easy way. Standing for right when it is unpopular is a true test of moral character

I'm making muffins this morning and later this afternoon just before dinner, baking some bread rolls for that evening temp boost

The sun will do the rest in between.

We always change our cooking during the winter to maximize the hear from the oven and do the same in the summer to minimize it by using the grill to keep the hear OUT of the house.
