like to see it drop to 2.20. thats when I thought gas was too expensive.

I wonder if gas went to $1.00 if the economy would actually fix itself to being better.

I'm thinking of getting an extra tank routed and installed in my trunk just for those instances.

I remember a few years ago filling up premium for $2.56 saying "holy shit this is expensive" ...but now, I've filled up for $2+ more than that.

Man, IL sucks. I'm at 2.49 in Bloomington, and as soon as I get out of town its down in the 2.20's. I'm headed up toward chicagoland today and the station I normally fill up on the way is at 2.22.

just did a little research....

400 million gallons of gas are sold, on average, every day. So the price drops we've seen of about $1-1.5 is the equivalent of 400+ million extra dollars being pumped into the economy, every day. No bailout bill required, either.

Oil closed just over $64 a barrel yesterday, if I remember correctly lowest it has been in 17 months

I got gas in Waukegan on Monday at 2.79, was in southern Indian all week and it was all around 2.50 for the most part and then driving back up yesterday came up I-57 and I think Champaign area was about 2.60 something
