Watches, which do you prefer??

I want to get a decent watch, I lost my trusty Fossil when in tennessee a few months ago, and now that i've got a job again (where I actually have to wear decent clothes lol), I want to get another decent looking/performing watch.

Just saw today there's a Invicta Men’s Speedway Collection Chronograph on Woot for 85 with shipping, although it can be had at amazon with a 20% deal for 90ish apparently, so I'm not going to jump on it right yet.

Any pro's/con's about this watch? I like the stainless steel look, and not a big 'bling' watch either (i'm skinny, it'd just look wierd lol). Not to mention this brand uses all stainless steel (not ss wrapped over a less expensive metal), which should keep it from getting beat up like my Fossil I had did.

Btw, it has a 'japenese quartz', what the heck is this? And, people on woot were complaining about it not being an automated watch..again, what the heck is that??

Give me some suggestions! Pics/places to buy are a plus!

In that range, you can find some nice Seiko Kinetics. Really nice watches for the money. I'm wearing one now.

For a little more, I like Citizen eco-drive watches. Probably the best value in watches, period.

where do you find them online?..amazon?

I'll have to wait till after work to look for one i'm thinking...although it would be nice to find a store with them so I don't have to wait on shipping and hopefully get it fitted when I buy

+1 on the Citizen eco-drive.

I have been wearing one for the last 3 years with no problems. Met a guy on Tuesday night who has been wearing the same watch for over 4 years.

Probably looking to spend $350 and up I think (for the Skyhawk version).

cool, thanks! For sizing, should I measure around the widest part of wrist, right behind my hand? I think i'd go to the next size up, just to have an extra link, and not have one missing if it's too small.

Do they give you any extras when you order?

I'm thinking something in between that you posted Rob, and the one on woot..not completely plain, but not too much going on

Yep, they're solid. I wore my old Ti Eco-drive for years, and had it on when the tanker ran me over, and its was still good. Took 5 years for the band to finally break, but its still running sitting on my bookshelf, 6 years after I got it.

Citizen Eco-Drive. I had a Citizen before, wore it for about 3 or 4 years. It wasn't even an Eco-Drive, just a normal watch with a battery. I beat the shit out of that watch and it worked well for me. I dropped it once(actually dropped it a bunch of times but this one broke it) and the little tick marks came loose and after that it didn't work right. Haven't bought a new watch but when I do it will be an Eco Drive.

I have had a Citizen Eco-Drive WR200 since I graduated high school in 1994! This watch is awesome and I have never had a problem (knock on wood). however, I do love more expensive watches as well! But for an everyday watch...Citizen is nice.

Isn't it the freakin' weekend yet???

+1 on Invicta for the lack of $$ for Tag Heuer or better.

Their Sub Mariner/Sea Dweller replica looks awesome, is genuine Invicta, Stainless steel and nice size. I think they actually have it even in the medium.

Had a citizen for years.. loved it.. stopped wearing it because with what I was doing it was more 'noticeable' on the arm.

Switched earlier this year to a Seiko Titanium. Doesn't even feel like it's on my arm..which I like.

I saw that invicta watch up on woot. I have a similar model

http://www.amazon.com/Invicta-Collec...5381763&sr=8-3

It's got pretty much the same specs as the one you were looking at. it is also all stainless steel. my only complaint is that it's pretty heavy. It's something that you know you have on. Other than that. it's built well and looks good.

If you like to know you have it on, try on one of the new Tungsten Movados. Very , but makes stainless feel like carbon
