Anyone have an exterior hard drive?

I need to back up my things for just couple of days while I install something that I am not sure will work or wipe out my lap top. Last time I tired, it was chaos, and almost lost everything.

So does anyone have a external hard drive that I can barrow? I have a lot of data.

Bikes can be replaced...people can't...ride safe!!

You should also consider trying out one of those free online backups... at least for your important stuff.. in case something happens to your house, or your portable drive (those things die all the time.. hdd's dont like moving around.. especially when they are running)

This is what I use
https://mozy.com/
the free account gives you 2gb of free space + and extra 512mb for both of us since it has my referral code..

Basically it backs your data up one time.. Which does take a while.. Then it only backs up block level changes moving forward (which are very small) (you can schedule it or it just runs while the machine is idle...)

It's a really cool concept..
The unlimited home use account is 5 bucks a month.. I am considering doing it... I'd certainly get my moneys worth.. Backing up over 100gb of photos alone

I use the Pro account at work for a few laptops here... As they tend to get lost, broke, stolen, or "baggage handled" often... It's nice to be able to go back and get the files that were on there to generally within the last day.

I just got this in the mail from them the other day
They seem to be a pretty reliable company... and they are owned by one of the big guys in the disk space / SAN world -- EMC
