Do you believe in ghosts?

Anyone have any ghost encounters?

I live in my grandparents old house. My grandfather passed away about 5 years ago. One night I woke up in the middle of the night to a bright lite around my closed bedroom door and someone pinching my cheeks. My grandfather used to do that to mr as a kid. I don't know if it was a dream or not. But it felt very real.

I came here to drink some beer and kick some ass. And it looks like we are all out of beer.

Please read the title of this thread. It doesn't say "Do you believe you're an idiot?"

Stick with the shrooms. Acid will fry your brain.

I came here to drink some beer and kick some ass. And it looks like we are all out of beer.

Back in 93-94, I convinced two girls I was with that the legend of Munger Road being haunted was true. They were crying and screaming, insisting they saw stuff as we were driving. Yeah, scared-girl action.

Now Munger is just a bunch of $300k+ house subdivisions.

from: http://theshadowlands.net/places/illinois.htm

Quote:
Munger Road Rail Road Tracks - They
say if you park your car on the tracks and put it in neutral and put
baby powder on the trunk, you will see fingerprints of a boy who got
killed on those very tracks. June 2008
Additional information - In the past 25 years, there have been two
murders near the Illinois , Central and Pacific Railway that runs
through the Pratt Wayne Forest Preserve, which is what Munger Road runs
through. About 9 years ago in October, a male was found murdered just
off of Munger Road. In 1982 a 21 year old woman was found raped and
strangled right by the train tracks in the forest preserve off Munger
Road. Those two murders are what locally make it so scary. The DuPage
County, IL sheriffs website (unsolved murders) gives all the
information about both murders.

Another time, probably 94-95, I was driving along not really knowing where I was- I don't even remember were I was coming from. But a woman was standing next to the road. My buddy was in the passenger seat. It was like 2 am but I swear she was like dimly glowing pale white. As I passed, she turned to follow the path of my car- basically turning where she stood as I approached then passed. I could see the figure facing my car as I drove off. I said to my friend, "Hey did you just see that?" But he was dozed off. Drove down a bit more and saw the entrance to Resurrection Cemetery. No BS. I don't know if it was a ghost or what I saw and realize almost everyone has a supposed-Resurrection Mary story, but I know I saw something. No drugs/alcohol involved.

That's about as close as I ever got. If I'm asked if I've ever encountered a ghost, I say no.

Another thing I noticed that people who are very religious as well as people who are more "simple minded" tend to believe in ghosts. No offense to anyone on here, but this is what I've noticed when talking to certain people about it.

i am neither, also i never believed in them, never wanted to!! i fucken hate that shit.

for a couple years a long time ago i was sensitive all of a sudden to this crap.

out of the handful of times i did feel something, heard something or saw things.

most of them were all confirmed by the owners of the house, parents of the children who also said there kids said the same thing and they thought it was just a imaginary friend. a father who hung himself when i knew nothing about it or the room, and also the one that freaked me out the most the dead lady that wouldn't stop hitting me with flowers in which when i left my wife smelt them on me, and also fuck thats enough.

never the less i am not quacked nor retarded or some super church goer and i hope i never see or here the shit again. but there has been a few times i thought ive had something mess with me.
