My puppy would cry too when I would put him in the cage (when I wanted more sleep). I learned that if I put the cage in the bedroom by the bed and he could see me...he would be quiet. maybe that would work??

Isn't it the freakin' weekend yet???

we never did cages for our dogs. They hated them. Would cry all night long

He's adorable!!!

As for the crate.... we tried that with Rascal... and even brought it next to our bed... but in the end... Rob stopped being a meanie and let him sleep in our room... sometimes it's on the foot of the bed, sometimes on the carpet, sometimes on the bathroom floor... depends on his mood. Somedays he wants to be right on me.... I think it helps him sleep better to hear my heartbeat. Either way, little pups are just too cute!

The real art of conversation is not only to say the right thing at the right time, but also to leave unsaid the wrong thing at the tempting moment.

I know it sounds strange but get a wind up clock and put it next to cage, NOT IN IT. Then out cage in bedroom near u and let them see you turn off lights and it will associate it with going to bed. It's lonely and needs comfort.

...plus my gf was with me saying "omg slow down, slow down" and I was thinking "Lose annoying squalk box in passenger seat, afford more mods and have less weight in the car and on the back of the bike"...so i dumped her and I'm single again as usual...HERE KITTY KITTY!!!

The crate is your friend, it may take some work to get your pup used to it but it will make life much easier in the long run and help wit potty training.
