i think white castle saved my life

so i was on my way home last night at around 10. i was going to be passing the white castle that i usually frequent and since i was hungry i pulled right in. ordered my usual 10 cheeseburgers. got my sliders and proceeded on my way home happily eating one by one. well, i know i live about 8 slides away from the 'castle because when i pulled down my driveway into my backyard i had 2 left. no reason not to just sit in the car and finish the last 2 so that is what i did. i then sat there and arranged the empty boxes so they could all be put in the bag and i could throw the bag in the garbage can on my way into my house.

as i got out of the car i could see the back door was open. i thought i left it opened like the lame-brain i can be sometimes. then i noticed it had been pried open. one-tenth of a second later i was in my neighbors back yard calling my girlfriend then calling the police. i keep a gun in my bedroom so i knew if they were not armed when they went in my house that they were now.

cops show up and go inside to clear the house. they call me in to inspect my home.

laptop gone
digital camera gone
glock 17 gone
they took a new pair of Merell shoes that were still in the box but left the box
every drawer and every cabinet door was open.
things were thrown everywhere.

and now why i think white castle save my life. my front door was open. they must of heard me pull in my drive way and as i finished my food they hauled ass out my front door.

last time i checked eating sliders was way better then walking in on some dirt bags robbing your house and getting shot with your own gun.

this whole thing sucks.

What area of MP do you live in? That sucks but at elast you are safe and all that stuff can be replaced by insurance.

Hopefully your gun isn't used in a future crime (although it will be).

That really sux. Close call but whew!

Will insurance cover all?

The right way is not always the popular and easy way. Standing for right when it is unpopular is a true test of moral character

yeah, i have insurance. the two things that piss me off the most is the gun because now bad guys have it and all the pics on my laptop.

the good news is the gixxer was safe and sound in my garage.

i did make the cops laugh when i commented that the bad news was my house is full of police, but the good news is that they were not taking me out in hand cuffs.

Shame you didn't catch them in the act... after 8 sliders your ass was probably locked and loaded

I'd have kept them locked in a small room for a few hours.. They'd be begging for the police to take them away

that is fucked up...nothing hopefully insurance cant take care of...i have been hearing alot about break ins lately since alot of people are just scumbags and lookin for a free ride...and its really fucked up they got your gun...who can honestly ever say that white castle may have just saved your life?....ONLY YOU....lol

...plus my gf was with me saying "omg slow down, slow down" and I was thinking "Lose annoying squalk box in passenger seat, afford more mods and have less weight in the car and on the back of the bike"...so i dumped her and I'm single again as usual...HERE KITTY KITTY!!!

i live alone so no need to lock the gun. if i am home asleep, i want to get to it quickly.

i would have felt much safer while i wanted for the police if i was carrying. then there would have been no unlocked gun in the house.

white castle did not kick in until 2AM. then i was deadly. they would have admitted to starting the great chicago fire for me to let them go.

i live just east of randhurst mall by about a mile.

bottom line...if i had an alarm all i would have right now is a broken door....and REAL bad gas.

i posted it up here before...
go get a free account at one of those online backup places...
you dont have to do anything but give them an email (no cc or anything) and they give you 2gb of free backup space and auto backup changes...
plus you get an extra 512 mb if your referred by a user \

https://mozy.com/?ref=GRYVT3
is my referal code (so it will be 2.5gb free)
So... set it up..
That way if your disk fails or gets stolen you can download all your shit back
im thinking about doing the paid one and backing up all my music/videos/photos.. which is probably pushing about 1/2 ter by now...

I'm sorry to hear about that stuff being ganked. The Glock especially. I fear what's going to happen with it now, only make gun owners look bad.

Glad your safe bro. That's really what counts...I hope none of this bites you in the arse in ways you couldn't predict.

The purpose of a safe is to prevent unauthorized access to your firearm. You figure out how heavy it needs to be to ensure that doesn't happen.

Or bolted to a steel beam or anchored to concrete. Most smaller safes come with mounting kits.
