one more reason why we should be drilling here, make this country rich instead of the middle east. it would take care of thgat debt issue your always complaining about.

HDTony.... Damn glad to meet you!

Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.

Better to get off the gas instead. Trying to find cheaper oil is just like giving a junkie a a small fix to keep them from getting the DT's. Doesn't solve the problem, get them off the drug instead and take care of the root problem. Not to mention that we only have a very, very small % of oil here. Something like 4-6%. In the interest of national security we should save any oil we have here to use as reserves just in case the Arab's turn off the faucet on us. This way we will still have oil to fuel our military and fuel essential transportation.
On a side note I do like the lower prices we have been seeing lately.

I think it'd be good to try and harness the power of lightning, as well as what they're doing with wind/solar/wave power..Although i'm not sure how you'd go about storing all that energy in such a short amount of time though..maybe a giant grid that the energy would dissipate into? (I don't know much about electronics, energy etc though)

If it were possible to get energy completely through natural, renewable means, It would def. boost the economy, not only because it would (hopefully) be cheaper, but there would be no speculation about it running out (which drives prices up)
