Digital vs paper....magazines.

I just received an e-mail from Source Interlink Media about subscribing to digital editions of some m'cycle mags (Hot Bike, Motorcyclist, Dirt Biker, Super Streetbike) instead of the regular print editions, saving up to 91% off. Prices would be anywhere from $5 to $11.50 instead of newsstand prices of $65 to $65. They say:
"When you subscribe to the digital edition of your favorite magazines, you get:
The lowest price ANYWHERE
INSTANT Delivery
No lost, damaged, or stolen issues
Tips, photos and builds at your fingertips"

Curious what folks' thoughts are about this kind of thing. Do you like digital editions? Rather have the hardcopy? Pros/cons of both?

Too hard to read on the crapper.

In truth I retain much less when I read electronically. I just hate filling the trash.

I love the on-line magazines as long as the application used to view it is good. For example, Cycle News has one (it is currently free) that is outstanding. Cycle News is weekly and a new one comes out every wednesday. The paper subscription never, ever arrived on time.

The other one I like is GPWeek.

If you ain't with us, then it's just bad news.

e mags are great. you get an email when its ready even before it gets to the stores... everything has zoom and high quality they dont take up any space in your house.. the only downside is you cant cut out any of the posters or pics.. a sad thing when your order uk's superbike magazine

For the environmentally-conscious reader, Digital-magazine store Zinio is currently offering free subscriptions to select publications as part of its “Read Green Initiative.” There are several magazines to choose from in many categories. The sign up process is very simple: just select your magazine and provide an email address, then sign up for a Zinio account (if you do not already have one) with that same address.
