still no W-2 (right form??) from current and a past employer to file it...

this year I'll remember to do it as early as possible so I don't have to wait forever when everyone rushes to get them in by the deadline..

Here's to hoping I didn't make over that threshold for 0 fed. tax taken out, and don't owe monies..

We have our W-2s, we are just looking for someone to do them. This is our first time doing taxes and being a home owner. Plus the little bit I won in Vegas caused me to get some sort of W-2 for that as well. Otherwise I usually just do it online and have it direct deposited in 2 weeks.

Waiting on W-2s from both my employers and my wife's, also waiting on forms from the mortgage company. I'm crossing my fingers that I don't owe this year.

Girlfriend just sent me a text, she is getting 5,700 back. Messed up part is she only made a little over 27K last year due to her hours being slashed. She claims her son is priceless, but based upon the figures i was given I say his value is about 5K a year.

LOL. Let us know how that works out when you are up for confirmation as a Federal Judge in ~10-15 years.

I do my own. It's really not that difficult for individuals, couples and/or sole proprietors. You just have to read the directions in the book that comes with the forms, and when it doesn't seem to answer the question, go to the web site and download the relevant publications, etc. until you understand the proper way to do it. The more years you do it, the easier it gets.

The Illinois Income Tax return is so easy a 10 year old should be able to properly complete it. Just follow the easy, step-by-step instructions!
