what new verizon phone should i get?

I've been eligable for an upgrade @ 2yr pricing for a while, but my phone refused to break so i didn't replace it.

Well it finally broke yesterday when i dropped it.....very hard.....again.

I've been looking at the Blackberry Pearl only because they don't look like they have much of anything else worth owning. Just a bunch of generic flip phones. I want something thin and light.

I would like to get a strom but I'm not willing to drop $200 on it. Call me cheap.

Is there anything that verizon has that is decent? Their service has been great for me but their phone selection has always been crappy, IMO.

what ya got?

thanks

mac

I've had a Pearl on T-Mobile for two years now, and honestly, I wouldn't get another one. It's cool and all, but if you text a lot, it sucks. The Sure Type or whatever it's called always messes up (it replaces I'm with u'm) and other stupid things.

Luckily my 2 years is up this month and I can break away from the Pearl and T-Mobile.

I'm 99% sure thats the phone my sister has. not a fan. Too big and bulky for my taste. But i do kinda like the style and features. I belive the env is a bit smaller and is nearly the same.

My 2 nieces have verizon. The Juke sucks, and the Envy seems pretty good. They are 20 and 18, so kinda tough on their phones, and they use ALL the features. The juke seems really fragile, and has a short battery life.

I don't ride, I cook!

I'm not sure if you're aware but you can edit what comes up with predictive text. My g/f has a Pearl and occasionally cleans out what gets saved and doesn't have any problems with it. You might also be able to edit the order things come up o(f/me) or (me/of).

Compared to the BB Pearl the Env is rather bulky. My girlfriend was looking to replace her BB (decided not to) and compared it to the Env. Almost double thickness. She bought a used one off Ebay and the bottom row of buttons (*, 0, #) didn't work, the reddish/maroon coating was peeling off almost everywhere and it just looked cheap. Could've been from the previous owner or could've been build quality. She loves her Pearl, just know that if you get a BB with Verizon you HAVE to get an internet/data package. Don't think you mentioned that so something to consider.
