Cold Medicine

What is good, what do you use? There are so many OTC cold meds that I think I am getting sicker just by looking at them.

I have been using the Airborne stuff, it feels great when I am on, but once it crashes, I feel like I am about to die.

Share Your Thoughts.

You have to get the stuff you sign for at the pharmacy. Mucinex is good best thing to me is still Nyquill.

I don't think Airborne actually does anything.

Me personally, gallon of OJ, sleep, and Robitussin.

Airborne doesn't treat symptoms. It supposedly strengthens your immune system to prevent colds/flu/etc. It's basically a dietary supplement. Unless there's a new version out.

I like Alka Seltzer cold and flu.

I'm a fan of zyrtec d. It might technically be an allergy medicine but it really dries up your sinuses.

The only think that usually bothers me enough to do anything about it is a stuffy nose. The best stuff I have found is the old sudafed/generic equivalant. The Sudafed PE is worthless. Go to the pharmacy at Wal-Mart and the generic sudafed is $1.50/pkg.

we use Zicam at home and that works great for us. It tastes like chit but does the trick.

Also it doesn't give that nasty medicine feeling when you take it like some of the other products out.

throw the airborne out, they were sued because their product does NOTHING and they used false advertising to say it does. they cant prove that it cures NOR prevents any illness.
