Brrrrrrrr....I'm still cold!

ugh how crappy, ended up having to walk to the train station today, not a single road on the way there had a sidewalk so was slow/cautious going..

Was late headin to work so forgot to bring boots, or pants that were actually wind resistant. So, got off work at 4, got to the train station at 5 and ended up missing my train by 5 minutes gah!...then felt like a douche trying to talk to the cute girl working there because my face was so numb I could barely talk lol. Get to woodstock at 5:45, home at 6:15, and the garage door code doesn't work for some reason?? Front door locked, have to walk around and hop the back fence, getting feet full of snow, and luckily the back door was unlocked.

Ugh, over 2 hours to get home, shity.

Wouldn't mind at all if there was no snow/a little less cold, just grab my longboard and skitch my way there..and hope there's no huge rocks I don't see

funny you mention that, saw an ad for cabellas the other day selling those and was thinking how much easier it would've been when I was goin home lol.

Seriously though, I need to get boots at the least, had to walk barely on the side of the road...half the time on icy crap, and usually D-bags flying within 2 feet when there's plenty of space, not to mention no on-coming cars...agh.

Usually would walk on the opposite side of the road so I can at least see if someone's about to smack me, but there was never any room.

I had a HORRIBLE day today too if it helps. Both my daughters are sick with severe cold/flu as well as my boyfriend. NOT GOOD!

yuck, get to walk home tomarrow too, at least from the woodstock store so only 2 miles or so.. But, woodstock in town streets aren't too crowded, so i'll just take the longboard, i'll already be padded to keep warm so a fall wouldn't be too bad

so, I was looking at google maps, had to walk 2.8 miles to crystal lake train station, then1.4 miles home...not too bad, but felt like a hell of a lot longer that's for sure!

Sucks that I couldn't take a bike home on the train until 9:50 at night, might just keep one at the crystal lake train station and ride it to/from work from there..
