I read a book about superstring theory sometime back. Really thought provoking stuff. Whats' really weird, is that some variants of superstring theory require 24 dimensions to work. Talk about a complete mindfuck.

So basically everything in the 5th dimension is a parallel universe.

Science has already proven that if we were to invent time travel we would not be able to go back to a time before that discovery was made. Future generations could contact us after the fact, but we could not contact those before the fact. So if this is true, then we could travel into the 4th dimension which leads to the possibility of us traveling into higher dimensions.

This also reminds me of the rules for imaginary numbers where the rule repeats itself for every 4th power. For every 4th dimension, the rules apply to the next four that did for the previous four.

Got any more videos like this?

my brain is now folded to the 5th dimension after watching this.

There is nothing firm, nothing balanced, nothing durable in all the universe. Nothing remains in its original state, each day, each hour, each moment, there is change. Change is the essence of life. Embrace change as you do life. To fight change is to live in the past.

Dimensions are actually simple if you don't try to fit them into the 3D. Project them on the 3D or 4D with the time being the fourth dimension and it becomes much easier. Better yet, don't think in think the terms of space-time continuum at all.

PS: Having some actual work experience with OLAP/multi-dimensional databases pays off

sweet vid!

so, now we've just got to figure out how to fold the 6th dimension to find the parallel universe which suits us best, and move in there (obviously killing our other self and taking their place, to obtain their riches.)

or...fold the 9th dimension to travel to a different universe (with different laws of physics and so forth), to find a universe/world combo that allows you to have your own force powers...sweeeet. More in the sense of, everything obeys your mental thought...just hope you don't end up in a 'sphere' scenario..

I'm guessing then, after you die, you have to somehow (determined by how good/evil you are), find a universe by folding the 9th dimension that suits you...If you are evil, you actually end up in a universe perfectly suited to be your own hell, and good, a paradise universe that would be heaven. new religion unite!

edit: oops fold the 9th dimension

sooo, how long 'till we can actually fold these dimensions??

- Steve

Wow, very cool. So that's why they only talk about 10 dimensions being possible. I thought 10 was too convenient a number, but now it makes sense.

Who else had the "hot chicks have a pillow fight" as a related video.... it is taking a lot of self-control not to click that video.

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!

so if the 10th dimension is all possible universes with all possible outcomes and etc etc, then does God occupy the 11th dimension? And if he does, we can draw a line to that dimension which could be folded creating a 12th dimension...

Rmemeber at one time science also proved the world was flat and you'd drop off if you went too far west.

Also at one time they proved the earth was the center of the universe.

They also said travelling faster than light was impossible.

They also said Ken's spelling will improve.
