Rode to work today

Well everyone my first winter in LA has been great. I have been boycoting traffic and riding my bike to work most of January. Can't say I miss the Winter, it was 83 today.

Did NOT ride into work today

Work 3rd shift and it was 14 at 10pm. Not even sure of the wind chill. Are you just trying to piss us off?

It is -11 with the wind chill. I caged it.

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!

I rode to work today..
People power.. Had two interesting "moments" first a car almost hit me.. so I did that 45 degree quickie turn up towards a sidewalk from Belmont.. I wouldn't have made it.. but when I jammed the brakes I got my bike sideways and backed it in.. Pretty cool.. I've backed a motorcycle in a bit on throttle.. but never brake.. Took the ass a bit to unpucker

THen I hit a bump and the trusty iphone popped out of my coat pocket and I ran over it with the back tire (it got hung up on the headphone cord for a sec)... ugh

peeled the little screen protector off and good as new.. phew.
