Hello From Hell!!!!!!!

I am presently vacationing near Phoenix, AZ. I love it down here but it is the worse time to visit. I was up at 6 a.m. this morning and it was 91 degrees. By noon or 1 pm it has been around 115 degrees. Fortunately I love the heat so I don't mind. I just wish I had brought my bike. I think of it in the garage beggin' to be ridden and it wants to make me cry.

Does anyone want me to say hi to satan I am having lunch with him tomorrow.

I lived there for year...it's HOT...and don't let them bullshit you with "it's a dry heat"....HOT is HOT and the three hottest months are also monsoon season (lots of rain/humidity). Of course, I was riding on New Years Day while my friends in Chicago weren't

The news said it hit 117 yesterday once the humidity dropped.....but that is as bad as it gets for the year. It might rain today/tonight and that should drop the temps to the 103 area by the weekend. It's really hot, but two bad months is a good trade off for 10 good months.

I spent last Friday through this Tuesday in Chicago and once you factor in humidity the 103 here will be about the same.

Vcook, if you're in town again PM me, I have a bunch of bikes and we should ride the canyons. Great twisties out here.

I am actually looking to move there as soon as I find a job. You should check out Mills Avenue near ASU, there's some restaurants and shops around there. Also there's a club called Rio thats an indoor/outdoor club and it's big.

I have visited an ex-Army buddy that lives every year since 1999 and I love it out there. Hopefully something comes up for me so I can move out there.

Have fun and yes it's hot as hell when you get into your car, thank God for A/C!!!

I'm not much for the Mill Ave biker squid fest, but I will ride down there just to see the ASU coed talent walk the sidewalk - you are right about the twisties.

Gotta love a place with year round tank tops and mini-skirts.

Twisties in Arizona? Like I needed another reason to move southwest. Sweeeeeeet. I hope there's a job down there for me when I graduate.

All I'm wondering is how unbearable the heat is with gear/helmet on? Sounds like it just gets a little too hot this time of year so you've got to cage it. Sure as hell beats the 6 months riding season here, though.

misters are a big thing down here to cool the temps down. Do they make a mister you can put on your bike, kinda like a motorcycle a/c. Maybe it would be better if you put them down your shorts....

I have been to club rio before (not this trip) and it was one of the best clubs I have ever been to. I also think I have been to mills road. Unfortunatly I wasn't paying too much attention to the girls walking around because I was hanging with half the cheerleading (whoops I mean dance) squad from the Arzona's professional basketball team (Not a sports nut - Arizona heat I think) We went out with them after a game with the raptors. My lucky friend was dating one of them so she got us tickets because they get tickets to every game.
