Need an old FZR fuel pump

The new project, a 1989 FZR 600 needs a fuel pump. Anyone have one in the garage they don't need.

I'm pretty sure I can use one from a 1989 and all the way up through the late 1990's.

I will keep that in mind as I get into this further.

But thanks!

If I get it running, I may need some spares.

We might? I'll forward this to X and see if he knows if there's one in the bin of Fizzer 600 parts.

Do you self a favor...
Put a vacuum pump on it instead.

The stock pumps brake super easy.
I used one of off an SV650

Hooked it to the carb boots.

Let me know if you need any help with it.

Hmmm interesting. Thanks. I see your bike lists FZR 400. Lets see a pic! I was hoping this was a 400 since the rear wheel is 18x3.5. But it is a 600 as far as I can tell. I think the 400 has a 18x4.00 wheel. The carbs look small for a 600. But it's definately a 600 frame.

It would be cool if I could find a 400 rolling chassis and swap in this motor.

This must be an old race bike. The igntion looked funny. Now I find it has an aftermarket damper, ignition isn't stock, every nut is drilled for safety wire.

It had no spark plugs in it when I got it. The fuel pump is definately bad. I put 3 new plugs in. The forth is cross threaded. So I guess I have to pull the head and fix it. Not happy about that.

How are things up in Wisconsin. It's been a long off season......

Here is a Pic of the Fizzer, last years GSXR and Jen's Hawk behind it.

The carbs on the 400 and 600 are exactly the same.
There are a lot of cross over parts between the two.

I actually have a 2nd 400 chassis.
And a box of parts, but thats a different thread.
As far as the wheels go, they are all 18s so a swap is in order.
Not to hard.
