Bike towed from parking lot need some advice on fighting tow-er

ITS NOT MY BIKE

A friends bike got towed fromt eh appt complex parking lot where he lives, its been parked int eh same spot with an other bike under a cover since the beginning of winter, Im house sitting for him and noticed it missing today, I didnt notice last night when i was there but I know I parked next to it on friday night cause I chuckled to myself about the oily spot on his cover and the cover being HD branded even though the bike is a kawi, the towing compant claims it was towed on thurs 2-5-09(thurs)
they say there was no cover adn the bike was towed cause of expired plates(they are)

do i have any recourse to fight these asshats with cause I know the cover was in good condition and secured well

Cops had no problem pullling up covers on motorcycles in my old apartment parking lot.

My cover was pulled up over the plate on many mornings. A ticket was left under my cover once for no village tag

Damn, it seems like cops are reaching out more and more for money. Makes it seem like having a personal garage is the only safe place any more.

then what legal basis do they have to tow a vehicle that wasnt called in bythe property manager.

I would contact the apartment manager and have him call them to put pressure or else lose th contract.

say I have seen the cover on that thing constantly so there is no question of accidental towing.

Did you talk to the association? Thats a load of crap that they towed it.

Did you ask the towing company the reason it was towed?

no this is a different person adn has nothing to do with taledarksides bike issue

tires were full of air not flat and the cover is completely intact, and harlet davidson branded, not a blue tarp, its an honest to goodness moto cover
