Off the wagon after 5 years.

Broke down today and picked up a tin of Skoal after 5 years. After he 1st dip I got that light headed feeling and light head rush. Boy, this stuff is sure gonna make my days go fatsre once my body gets used to it again. Joy... another addiction.
So now I'm a 1rockstar a day plus however much dip I'll be using.

A dentist I know recommended staying away from the flavored brands, those have more sugar than straight. Coppenhagen is what he recommends!

why go back if you successfully quit? seems like step back from a pocketbook perspective even if you ignore the health aspects.

i used to dip cope longcut, but every now and then i would toss a can of skoal or kodiak into the mix.

Willard: When I was home after my first tour, it was worse. I'd wake up and there'd be nothing. I hardly said a word to my wife, until I said "yes" to a divorce. When I was here, I wanted to be there; when I was there, all I could think of was getting back into the jungle.

Stress made me go back. Work is crzy and I'm going through a ton of other stuff that's making my brain work a mile a minute.

I quite because I found myself at that time having so many hobbies and spending time doing what I wanted.

Now I'm married with kids and have a career!

Funny, my current stess level is what drove me away from my stress relief vices. I figured that if I couldn't deal with stress without the big one (booze after dinner) I was in deep poo and would spiral out of control. I'm working out more, eating better, and trying to get a solid 6 hours of sleep a night. The last one has been hard, but coming along. Right now, it seems to be working and I'm doing pretty good. Now if I can just cut back a little more on the coffee... Not happening...

There is nothing firm, nothing balanced, nothing durable in all the universe. Nothing remains in its original state, each day, each hour, each moment, there is change. Change is the essence of life. Embrace change as you do life. To fight change is to live in the past.

I don't mind a pinch every so often while I'm at the firehouse. I like the tea bags better. You don't get that shit in your teefs. Nothing like that buzz after you haven't had it in a while.

I came here to drink some beer and kick some ass. And it looks like we are all out of beer.

Ive been under more stress too.. but instead of going back to smoking the wife and I both signed up for a gym membership. I'd rather take out my frustrations on some weights than kill myself with nicotine.

You right!! My workout routine has dropped my stress levels significantly. Usually this time of year I am a complete asshole and thats during a good economy!! this year spending 6 days a week in the gym and cutting out beer, I am like a new man and I've still got more stress than ever in my life.
