Vday... yay or nay?

So who celebrates Vday and who doesn't? Heard a discussion about Vday this morning on the radio and I was wondering everyone's thoughts on it...

Question to the guys:
If your woman tells you that they don't want to do anything do you listen or do you plan something anyways? Have you ever not planned something and gotten in trouble for it? Does Vday even matter to you or is it just a woman's holiday?

Question to the women:
Do you tell your man what you want to do? Do you tell them not to do anything even though you want them to do something? If so, what the fuck is wrong with you?

Sometimes your knight in shining armor is just a retard wrapped in tin foil.

What's the difference between Valentine's Day and Sweetest Day? Sweetest Day actually has a great meaning behind it.

My family owns a flower shop, so I work very long hours every hallmark holiday. As far as celebrating, typically not on the weekend of the holiday but before or after we would treat ourselves to a nice night or weekend out/away.

Clue us in?

To me it used to be a good business day in the fall, over the last few years it slowed down quite a bit.

I don't remember the exact details and too lazy to google it but Sweetest Day was started by some guy who donated a ton of sweets and stuff to an orphanage and he wanted to make those kids feel special and loved for a day.

Anyone know the meaning behind Vday? Maybe if I find out it has a good meaning I will be willing to celebrate it and give a shit about it.

I celebrate by taking the wife out to dinner. I've kept it minimal since we met to avoid setting upward spiraling expectations and disappointments.

I think they all do. The one we are going to does and you can not get a reservation any more.

Do I celebrate it?? Yes, thats what makes her happy and her energy feeds off to me.

Do I want to?? I don't care, I would rather spend the money on other things to tell you the truth (bike parts).

If she says that she doesn't want to do anything!! Then nothing it is and some how or another it comes back to me.
