My whistler trip

Blue skies upper 20's and plenty of snow. Couldn't have asked for a better trip. I got lost twice on the mountain. Those that have been to whistler understand. My wife wasn't getting back up to speed as quickly as we thought so we decided to get her private lessons for a day. As it happened on one of my trips getting lost I rode the lift up with a snowboard instructor. I talked to him about pricing on a private lesson. Surprise not only do we get ass raped on it so does he. So we struck a deal, he took the day off and charged us half of what the mountain would have. AND he was able to make rent because of it.

Some pics for ya

Wow, that's gorgeous!

How long were you two out there?

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!

That's the greatest place on Earth. So jealous - especially with the woods shot.

I hope it doesn't get all fuckered up with the Olympics.

We cut across the giant slalom course. Those fuckers are nuts. They actually hose down the entire run to make it all icy and shit. The run is from just below the top of the whistler gondola to basically the base of the mountain.

Whistler is by far my favorite place to board. I can't wait to go back sometime.

Did that in 2001. Snowed a meter in 1 day. It was one of my life's highlights. I recommend it to anyone who thinks that CO is a ski god country. It will humble you.

I did Whistler and Mt. Baker last time out there... IMO, those are two of the best places to board/ski. Back country heaven!!
