Excited and annoyed...

The downtown stoplight sprints have started, I'm excited at the moment, because it's nice enough to ride. But soon enough it will be every night, all night long, assholes revin' it up for no fuckin' reason.

I hear ya. I'm really glad it is still too early for lots of them "straight pipes" assholes. I can't hear trucks and most other vehicles, but harley with open pipes is just a fucking murder.

I'd have to hit up a four block radius, at least, sound travels in these high rises.

I was thinking the same thing last night. I'm not too far from the Ohio St. ramp - it's to the point now where I can pick the bike/pipe config based on sound alone. By mid-summer I can usually even tell who the rider is based on their consistent rev-ery.

I rarely hear Mopar on the Zuma - but I know that's how he likes to pose.

You live in downtown Chicago. It's a major city. It's has millions of people. You live in a busy area. It's going to be noisy.
Warm weather = more people outside, motorcycles back on the streets and open windows.

There are so many squidly-douche bags that drive sport bikes it's sickening. I was at a stoplight, TWO guys on new GSXR's pull up, and pin the throttle reving it hitting the rev limiter. In the meantime, I just look at them like what the fuck are you doing?

that ramp is awesome and one of my favorite views into the city.. going up ohio at somewhere between 5 and 7 am.. but it's important that you be out all night first and tired as hell on your way home..

incidentally that ramp is the first place i ever got a knee on the deck.. and it wasn't intentionally.. Aside from deal's gap i think I have had a knee touch pavement on the street.. 2 or 3 times or so.. That's a great corner.. but the danger factor if something goes wrong is pretty high

Getting off 90/94 E onto the Ohio Exit has been tested by me in just about everything I have ever owned with a motor since I moved here in '94 - I love that slight right into the sweeping left then in to a slight right then into a slight left and then.................

(so noisy in the big scary city! I haven't slept in any of the last 12 years I've lived here.)

BTW, about the Ohio ramp - I don't know if it was patrolled much before but I'm seeing police cars parked by the exit from express lanes lately. You can see it until you're out of the curve and merged into the straight line. I guess they're watching this one now, be careful.

You mean leaving DT and merging the 90/94? Nah... It's just long, slightly curved straight. The other way around is so much more fun IMO

94E -- Exiting onto Ohio East Bound from the local lanes.. a soft right then a medium left.. It's a wonderful corner...

Really in most other parts of the country it would be considered... Not much of a corner.. In Chicago it's one of the best

We're talking about the same thing then. What I meant, though, is that cops sit *by* express exit in the same corner and watch both express and local. So if you're railing the local one, you don't see them until you're already merged which means that you are fucked . I just can't believe I didn't get a ticket while driving a car there about a week ago - I only saw the parked squad car disappearing in the rear view mirror... rapidly (not that I'm complaining). That 45mph speed limit is ridiculous there.
