My great Circuit City Deal

Today was the last day for the Circuit City in Gurnee and I got a sweet deal. I got a 42 in Panasonic Plasma for $300, brand new in the box. 1080p and everything. At least I got something good out of there after being laid off the same day from there.

Thats why I took mine out of the box and turned it on in the store before I bought it. Also its funny that the store manager told them to call corperate.... nobody has been employed there for almost a month now. ha.

Calling corporate is code for "Leave me alone, I can't halp you anyway."

Nice snag on the TV

If they wouldn't allow me to open the box and inspect the tv, I wouldn't have bought it. FWIW, when I was at Circuit City, a 50" Hitachi was dropped from about 17' flat on the front of the tv. It was still in the box. We opened the box, and it was fine. It was a rear projection, but it goes to show they are packaged well.

That appears to be the Xbox room with Live colored walls and twin bed for multiplayer action.

no no when I was younger I liked the color (margarita green). I still like the color green but now the green that is in my room just looks gross. And before I had this TV, I had a small 22' in an entertainment secter type of thing and you couldnt see the speaker wire. I just got everything last night and set it up last night also so I didnt have time to fix that yet.

A gallon of paint is cheaper than that tv. Twin beds get a lot of action.

My guess is either the dumb asses at the liquidation center or the dumb ass new owners didn't follow the explicit directions on most plasmas not to transport them laying flat you have to stand them up because the glass is more fragile then an LCD.

An employee boasting his employee discount... That's a nice deal, but unrealistic for non-employees...
