Math-a-thon

My daughter is participating in a St. Jude Math-A-Thon event that allows students to come together to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. St. Jude is internationally recognized for its pioneering work in finding cures and saving children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases. St. Jude is the only pediatric cancer research center where families never pay for treatments that are not covered by insurance, and families without insurance are never asked to pay. St. Jude is financially supported by ALSAC, its fundraising organization. You can help me reach my goal by clicking the link below to make an online credit card donation.

Please click here to donate.

Great job of supporting your daughter!!

The real art of conversation is not only to say the right thing at the right time, but also to leave unsaid the wrong thing at the tempting moment.

Bump.

And, did anyone else see two holds for their donation amounts show up on their bank statements? I have two transactions posted to my account for $25.00.

I am being serious. I just talked with St. Jude herself and she says that there is only one donation. But my bank says there are two, but one may just be a hold that was entered by accident. I have to wait until they actually post before they can really do anything. NBD, I'm sure it will all get worked out.

Ok, I only have one post to my account.

This happens to my account occasionally, hope it gets taken off of there

Just got a call back from St. Jude and she said it was just a mix up with the hold they put on the funds. It would not be charged and would drop off in a few days.

It pisses me off that an organization that could clearly use the money for better things can have such excellent customer service. Companies like Chase and HSBC should learn a thing or two. It took them 5 hours to call me with an answer to a problem I sent in an email.

Well, let's see here, a hospital wants your problems, while a bank wants your money... hmmmmmm???

I say help the kids go to the bar. Lower the legal drinking age to 10 ... and let's get these kids' allowance money into the economy. Let's see if the next generation can indeed save us.

Dante: [to Randal] You never go ass-to-mouth!
Randal: [to Dante] Would you grow up!
Becky: [to Dante] OK, I'm only telling you this because we're friends, but sometimes, in the heat of the moment, it's forgivable to go ass-to-mouth.
Randal: [chuckling] Ha! I knew it.

Thanks to everyone who donated, she raised over $600 and it was the most in the whole school. Very cool!
