Scutigera coleoptrata

I just saw one run under a filing cabinet in my basement. I barely noticed it till it was too late to kill it, my damn carpet is the exact same color as these things. Makes my skin crawl!!!!

I had those all the time at my old place. The little ones aren't bad, but the big ones would scare the fuck out of me. I swear they were some sort of super bug.

My first few apts in the city were lousy with em.

+1 on the super bug status. They're spooky as hell, fast, and liked to sneak up on me. Gave me the heebie jeebies every time. There are probably still stains on those walls from the killing fests that ensued.

*shudder

yeah those things are big and fast... Thankfully my new place doesn't seem to have any, my old "garden level" apartment was full of em though, they can sqeeze through tiny tiny openings in the windows/doors and prefer to stay close to the ground so if you have a first floor unit or a basement you're more likely to have them.

I see one every once in a while at my place; I can't stand them either. My cat used to hunt them, which helped. Now I have to keep my eyes out for 'em.

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!

i had tons of those when i moved into one of my old lofts..
i went to the pet store and bought a House Gecko
and let nature take care of nature..
within a weeks time I don't think I ever saw another of those..
but...
I don't think that is a solution for a house or with a wife...
worked great in my big garage like loft

why would you ever move out of a big garage like loft? that sounds like a great cooter trap.
