Now for some news that actually matters...

...Courtesy of CNN.com....

U.S.: Uday, Qusay confirmed dead
Saddam Hussein's sons Qusay and Uday were killed Tuesday in a firefight with U.S. troops in Mosul, the commander of U.S. ground forces in Iraq said. "We're certain that Uday and Qusay were killed," Lt. Gen. Ricardo Sanchez said in Baghdad. "We've used multiple sources to identify the individuals."

Comments?

Couldn't have happened to a nicer couple of guys.

I don't know if many of you had read accounts of what his boys were up to, but they were absolute monsters. One of them (can't remember which at the moment) made his dad look like(searching for a clever analogy) the old guy from the oatmeal commercials.

In one (true) story I read, he kidnapped a young college girl that didn't take kindly to his advances, held her hostage for a month while he had his way with her. Then left her naked in a pen with his starved guard dogs to be eaten alive.

Oh yeah... while he watched. This was the most mild atrocity that I could recall. The sons and their death squads were on track to pick up where daddy left off.

I for one hope they suffered before they took that last breath.

Fookin animals.

The guy that ratted them out will get 30 million dollars 15 for each. But that won't matter because as soon as they find out who opened their trapper. He and everyone he knows will be sliced and diced. A minute to pray and a second to die. Spend the money fast and run from the tallybastards!!

Brian,

This is my subtle attempt at humor to make light of a previous thread today. Kobe Bryant and his "situation" were discussed - there are some individuals who take celebrity status FAR too seriously. So this is my attempt to make light of a situation in the world that has more far reaching consequences than a basketball player and if he will go to jail....this story from CNN being news that actually matters. I will now step off my soapbox.

That was MY subtle attempt at humor, due to your post to the Kobe thread

Without putting too fine a point on it, Kobes situation does bring up a couple of issues that do pertain to our society in general, and things that we should all be aware of/debating. It is not simply a matter of some NBA's players problem, IMO.

BTW
I wish all of Hussein's offspring dead.

Oh yes. I am the almighty. That is EXACTLY what I said.

Who pissed in your Cheerios this morning, man? If you post a topic, you should expect replies to it without getting so defensive. It is a FORUM, and this is America. Not everyone will agree with your opinion 100% of the time, and that is something that we all have to learn to live with. By saying that I could not care less about something, it is a reflection of how far our society has come that we worship individuals because they are athletes/movie stars, etc. If guilty, Kobe should be given the same punishment as any "regular" person, regardless of his ability to provide high-power legal representation.

I was simply doing the same thing you did. I would have thought you would have understood this.

Back to my whole original point of this whole thing.....If you dont care, why post anything in the thread??? Why not just skip over it??? Do you think the people in that thread really need to know you dont care about it??? The answer quite simply is no.

Golf War... was that with tiger woods against jack nicklson? or Chi Chi Rodegues?

Seriously, from what goes on in the world, this is a major news story and is more important that what Kobe is into. If you dont care... well just remember there are people losing their lives so that you can watch the NBA finals, post in this forum or even ride your pretty cycles around. We lead very protected lives compared to the rest of the world.

You have the same option of ignoring a post that you do not want to read, or that you deem inappropriate. Unfortunately, that is the name of the game, there are posts that go against all logic all of the time. You too can "skip over it and go onto the next post" If we all had this board run in a fashion that suited our own personal needs / wants, there would be no board.

Growing pains. The more people you put together the better the chance of a fight. That's why you made the first comment worth replying to. I try to ignore the drama. I'm here to have fun and talk about MOTORCYCLES.
