Dark Lord Day, anyone else going?

http://www.darklordday.com/

I registered earlier today for my tickets. Anyone else going, or have been in the past? I'm hoping they have some dreadnaught on tap as well. Gotta love Three Floyds

never even heard about it. is this a stout beer or what exactly? does it compare to Guinness beer or what?

...plus my gf was with me saying "omg slow down, slow down" and I was thinking "Lose annoying squalk box in passenger seat, afford more mods and have less weight in the car and on the back of the bike"...so i dumped her and I'm single again as usual...HERE KITTY KITTY!!!

i haven't had it either, but i would assume it has very little in common with Guinnes, not sure but i don't think Dark Lord is nitrogen injected, probably natural carbanated or CO2 if needed. Have you had any other Imperial Stouts?

A brief description is on their beer page: http://www.3floyds.com/?p=306

i read a lil bit about what they had up on the page, but didnt really make any headway with it. it seems to be a rare brew from what i can tell.

they should try to get into selling it at the renaissance fair up near the il/wis boarder with that name, it could be a hit, and get more people involved into trying it. i would try it, but im not going out of my way to try it.

apparently if they wanted to keep up with demand they would have to stop brewing all the other beers they sell out in one day for a full yield, that's crazy...a lot of that is going to over-seas buyers now...it's really gathered a world wide following.

Currently Three Floyd's only has distribution licenses for IL and IN, but i could see this being ok at a ren fair, but not crazy good, it would likely be over 25$ a bottle at a place like that...hell I'm paying 10 bucks just for a ticket to let me buy it that day, i don't know what it will cost me per bottle there. So i imagine what i can buy it for from the brewery, say double that and maybe that's what a ren fair price would be...I paid like 6-7$ for a pint of 312 the last time i was there, it was like 4$ for a miller lite.
