Damnit, someone just showed a website to me with wounds of people who wiped out on motorcycles. It was so incredibly graphic that I'm still in shock. I'm talking bones not surrounded by tissue ... ew...

Anyone else ever have these moments of thinking about reconsidering motorcycling? You better not Just reminds me once again why I wear gear.

Visit me at work I'll show you stuff that will make you happy that’s all you've seen. I look at it this way, I'm not in a hurry to die but it will happen. You Might as well have a good time on the way.

Your awareness of the risks we take to ride are heightned becasue of it.

Something that might help you put things in perspective. It’s not that uncommon in the world for people to die from being crushed by vending machines.

Great. That's the last thing I want to think about when I ride: how my arm might look with a compound fracture.

I should scan and post the X-rays of my shoulder. They look pretty cool

Will it stop me from ridin? Nope. Will it stop me from racing? Nope. Tho the thought DID cross my mind, briefly, as I was lying in the ambulance that morning. The thought was gone by the end of the day, however

When I was in the ER getting x-ray'd the nurse showed me some polaroids of a dude who lost his foot in a motorcycle accident. It was pretty nasty, his toes were hanging off. All the nurses were telling me to give up the "donorcycle." Oh well, even if I did sell the bike, I'd just spend the rest of the money on skydiving, even tho the season is almost over. Nobody lives forever, and you only get one shot at this life, so just enjoy it and try not to get mangled.
