I was at Lake County Powersports for an hour around three till four.
New location, one major brand (Yamaha!) and only a handful of used bikes and not the gear selection I was hoping for. . . it was still a fun time!
I was shocked they still were handing out pizza and wings!
The stunt show was good but not great but hey, it was free.
The kids tried hard and were social before and after their show! EVERY employee seemed really cool and wanted feedback! The chick working the parts counter (Donna?) said "Rome wan't built in a day." She said they're being careful not to overstock with the economy the way it is but they trying to order based on what's asked for!
Massive property for events like this although there seem to be too many rooms inside. It's new and the office guy mentioned they were allready talking about knocking walls down to expand.
Lastly, ask and you shall receive! I got to test ride the Can-Am Spyder ! ! !
I half seriously said "You guys let people test the Spyder?" The saleman asked if I was looking to purchase and I said, "Not for me but my pop was looking at 'em." He then said "Let me get a copy of your license and I'll let you take it for a spin." I was shocked but after five minutes of instruction, off I went!
When I got back the salesman tells me he's gotta make a buck but if my father's serious he'll easily save us over a grand and they don't play the freight and set up games. He said they inncure costs to store them, build them and run a shop but you're talking a few hundred bucks and not thousands the shady shops charge. He then says they offer financing but if we can get a better rate through our bank, do it. Warranties are available and definately not mandatory and they don't play games!
I haven't been this excited to be in a bike shop for over a decade! If these guys are being straight, this place is gonna have my support!
