in less then a week i am gonna try "again" to stop smoking

this time its really getting to me paying 5.50 a pack and its going over 6 bucks soon!

this is pissing me off so much its starting to make me think i can do it this time! hopefully this weekend might start when my stress levels will be down a whole lot more.

i hope i can make it this time.

p.s. fair warning, ill try to be cool if something pisses me off but please remember when i do start cut me some slack..there is a chance i will hunt whom ever down and fuck them up if they piss me off enough.

quit being a sally and just do it

make yourself a money chart LOL actually in all honestly if money is a factor for you, open up a "quit smoking" savings account and every time you would buy a pack of smokes, put that money in the account instead and see how fast it racks up!!!

Don't try, do.

BTW, while I have no intentions for this to be permanent, it has been over 4 months since my last drink. It is the longest, by far, I've gone since I was 18.

There is nothing firm, nothing balanced, nothing durable in all the universe. Nothing remains in its original state, each day, each hour, each moment, there is change. Change is the essence of life. Embrace change as you do life. To fight change is to live in the past.

I quit January 1st, 2007 and hadn't had a single smoke until about a month ago. After being stressed out because of life, I dove back in head first and now after buying a bunch of packs, I'm ready to quit again because the price is pissing me off more than the original reason I went back

$5.50 per pack? holy cow.

cuz I'm yer pal, I'll punch you in the throat for $2.25 a day. If you want more pain I'll do it 3x a day for $5.50. Deal??????

seriously if you're trying to quit because its a matter of finances rather than health concerns you'll never do it. it's the wrong motivation so you'll never get the task done.

dude, at a pack a day you could save enough in 2 months to justify the purchase of a Daiwa Zillion reel, or in 3 months a G.Loomis GLX....just sayin'

anyone want to bet me I can quit?...accepting bets at $100 or greater

but seriously ody, i'd think about health reasons too..I've got no endurance/lung capacity now, and my grandma is a smoker for her whole life, and not doing so hot health wise while being in her 60's only.

at this point guys, health is one thing, me spending MORE money on a stupid habbit? pisses me off more! also too its the principle of what these fuckers are doing. they can get there 33. billion dollars a year elsewhere!

We found this stuff in a cigar shop, Marcus threw it out. Said it was too strong, burning his gums and shit. We'll stick to the crap I guess. lol

Ken, you WILL quit! My last smoke was January 1, 2009. Marcus also recently stopped. You'll do great!

Honestly your playing up the expectation of being crabby and irritable too much and it's going to become a self fulfilling prophesy, No reason to be pissed off, in fact you should be happy, your doing something good for yourself and it's saving you cash and we all know how much you LOVE cash. I quit an 18 year pack and a half a day habit cold turkey and never had one more cigarette. it can be done, you just gotta want it and if you do feel an anger focus it at YOUR habit and get mad at yourself for being weak, cause thats who needs it to keep you from doing it again. If you get the smokes in the right frame of mind it's easy. I could write a book on this shit.

HDTony.... Damn glad to meet you!

Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.
