I have a long sleeve under armour shirt, then some knee high socks and padded sport shorts. Works well for me.

I just picked up a 2 piece Under Armour suit for $50 at the UA Outlet store.

I would stay away from a 1 piece under suit , makes it a PITA when you have to piss.

Walmart even sells inexpensive stuff that works well for a few bucks.

If you have arm pump problems, go with a loose fitting shirt rather than a tight one.

Just a thought...I understand the reason for wearing a synthetic, moisture wicking material under the leather, but could it not melt? I mean if one was sliding down the pavement at x miles an hour, would there be enough heat generated to make the synthetic material melt to the skin?

Theoretically, yes. I'm sure there are enough people that have gone down with synthetic materials against their skin who can testify that NO it did not melt. Never heard this as a problem underneath decent set of leathers.

I'm sure if you were wearing a pair of jeans and under armour under them, they would theoretically melt, but I would guess they would get torn off first.

I'm sure there would be, but if you're sliding enough to wear through the cowhide it doesn't matter if you have synthetic or cotton next to your skin. You're going to get roadrash and the fibers in the skin no matter what.

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!
