New Beginner Bike

Here's my new baby! (Sorry, the picture is a little hard to see, it was in a low lit garage) The boyfriend officially took over the 08' GSX-R600, and I got a bike that I can truly learn on, an '09 Kawasaki Ninja 250R.

I have to admit, I hit a plateau on the GSX-R. I felt uncomfortable because of the power and the weight. I had no one to ride with also. This is a message to new riders. DON'T BRUSH OFF WHAT EVERYONE SAYS ON HERE! The reason I got the gsx-r was to initially share with my boyfriend so of course having ridden for years, he wasn't going to be scooting around on a 250.

But anywho, I love my new bike. It's been raining EVER since I've gotten it which is BULLSH**! The great thing is that when I'm officially done with it, I will take over the GSXR and he will look at something different but NO RUSH.

Oh and this bike will be easy as pie to sell...... it's ridiculous how many people are butting heads to purchase these bikes. I had someone calling in saying they wanted this bike if I didn't get it, and a black one sold while I was there. It's craziness......!

BTW, I bought frame sliders for the GSXR from WoodCraft, but they don't have an option for the 250, so any suggestions on quality brand frame sliders for my bike?

Smart choice. Congrats!

Here's a link to the ninja 250 forum with info about the Shogun frame slider kit:

I have the shogun kit for my gixxer and crash tested them. They did an excellent job.

Now that was a very smart move!! You have to come to one of my classes not to brag but I will and can get you up to speed on so many things much faster then trial and error or reading a book. It's so much more fun and memory retaining when you see it, understand it works the way it does, do it till fear is gone and in time it's instinct.

Why cant all have the intelligence of that lady there. Hell there is still hope for a few on this board to learn from you. Learn to ride rather then trying to keep up with the big boys right away like some

go time traveler style and go back in time, fuck his grandma, then shoot forward in time and then fuck his mom. Then return back to present state and call him a the product of two incest whores and hes your son and show video of you plowing the both members of his family. .

Dayum that's a good looking 250! Go for kawi putting a 250 out there with some style.

such a smart (and overdue) move from Kawasaki to visually update that bike. I bet a LOT more new riders will do with it now because it looks so much more like other sportbikes and yet is still the ultimate beginner sportbike on the market.

I never regreted starting out on my old 250R.

Honestly when I was first shopping for my first bike I was attempting to hunt down an '08 Ninja 250 because of their new look but they were all GONE or extremely overpriced if they had a few left but I had my eyes on the blue, I didn't want any other color and the blue seems to be the most liked with the green following close behind so selling later on will be just so damn easy!

Nolan1300 --> THanks for the link. As soon as I have time a little later I will do some websurfing and get some ordered asap.

Odysseys --> PM me about the classes. I get on here every so often but not often enough to see a thread from you. The girls are keeping me on my toes. If I still have energy I get on late in the night.

SQRLY --> We will definitely be riding. It'll be nice having my own bike so Scott can ride along as well. CAN'T WAIT!

C2M --> Thanks for the compliment! I planned on turning the bike over to Scott the entire time, just wanted to wait for the '09's retail to drop which it did and look at me now! She looks so pretty out there next to the GSXR. Our fender eliminators should be here ANY DAY as well.

whiteSeatEnvy --> Nice try, haha!

THANKS EVERYONE! I couldn't be happier to have this bike. I really like how they don't advertise 250 anywhere on it so that's pretty cool. I just wish it'd stop raining, but now it's freezing cold, and apparently it's supposed to snow this weekend.
