A lot of laws are here to make money . Look at the speed limit, 55 on the highway around the city. I did an experiment and followed the speed limit, and then proceeded to dodge semi trucks passing me with inches between us because I was going too slow for them at the speed limit. I agree with rolling stops, people shouldn't roll through them as that is a safety issue, but not for the speed limit. All newer vehicles can safely travel 70+ on the highway in light traffic.

if you go 50 miles south on I-55. speed limit goes to 65mph. And cops let you go 5 over. so you can legally go 70mph. Once you get away from the suburbs, people know how to drive.

True, for the stop signs I agree, but they got into it about whether there were laws set in place mainly for state profit, and I agree that there are laws under the disguise of safety that are just revenue generators. The speed limit being 55 is one of them.

55 also saves a lot of fuel

as well the roadways were designed to handle the greatest volume of traffic at 55mph

You don't buy a sport bike or sports car to save fuel .

Holy crap. Who volunteered to do that stunt?

"Uh, what we want you to do is ride a motorcycle at 30mph into the side of this car for a 30sec commercial that no one will see other than on youtube."

I hope it was a crash dummy, not a chance I would think about doing that unless I was offered an insane amount of cash .
