help going to vegas by may 15th

ok here is the deal i have a ticket with aa that i didn't use last year, so i have to book thru them. i have to fly by may 15 and the earliest i can leave is april 27th and i don't really have the funds. thinking of $800 for flight and hotel for my bud and i (that will cover the ticket). all i really want to do there is during the day hang at the pool (recover from hangover), do some gambling mid day, hit up a club at night, maybe a show otherwise walk around.

so the main question is where to stay

then what to see, what pool, what club, where to eat

that's all lol

please help ! and i need to get this booked

i want to drink, but only to kill a certain few brain cells and i don't care how many i have to take out to get to them.

We're going April 15th for 4 days and we just booked through the Imperial because it was CHEAP and RIGHT in the center of the strip.......

Our trip cost $800.oo total with flight included of course, and we have to fly out of O'hare. Rockford had NO flights to Vegas that day anywhere near our time frame, I couldn't believe it!

I can't wait!

Go to the Official Las Vegas website and request a visitor's guide to be mailed to you for free. The boyfriend's parents just got back from a week in Vegas and brought us a book full of coupons and a bunch of traveling guides so we got like 5 of them, haha......

I've heard Imperial is a rectangular box, but is good to stay at because it's in the middle of everything and only costs 50 a night.

I cant make a suggestion as when I went it was pretty much a blurr before we even left chicago.

I only stay at the Bellagio hotel cause my first trip there after hitting a jack pot they put me up in a VERY nice suite for the rest of my trip and gave me 2 round trip tickets for 2 and a 7 days stay for free in the same suite when I cam back just need to give 2 3 weeks notice

I am in Vegas every month to go on-site at our office there.

Luxor is a good suggestion - cheap and on the strip with a decent pool. DOn't go REAL cheap and choose Circus Circus. You will regret it.

Club - Talk of the Town is a good strip club to go to. Great girls.

Restaurants - Cheap but good - el jefe on Sunset is very good Mexican, about 25$ per person. Bahama Breeze is good. Cozy Mels good. They have all the chains as well. Normas is good Italian.

dont stay at circus circus, or Excalibur those are kids places.

mgm has a great pool.

if you want a good look at the strip at night pay the 12 dollars and go to the top of the eiffle tower at night. you can get a good view of the fountain show at belagio. good way to impress a lady.

Ours cost $800.oo because @ work, my boyfriend can't bid on his vacation until January of EVERY SINGLE year so we NEVER know what his vacation will IN FACT be until near the end of January so the Vegas packages only got more expensive and we didn't feel like waiting till last minute when there are some good deals because we wanted the security of knowing the trip is booked and done with....... It would've been around $200.oo cheaper if we would have booked earlier. By time we booked, the luxor had NO packages, along with others.

The Excalibur is absolutely NOT in the center of it all, and I haven't heard anything good about Circus Circus either. It's extremely old. The Imperial was our cheapest choice and I'm not complaining because we're not going there to have a 5-star resort/hotel with a gorgeous room when we'll NEVER be in there except from around 4:oo am - Noon, haha

I kept finding cheap deals but there was always some hidden fees in fine print. It got old looking around. We just booked and were done. Can't wait to get out there. The weather will be in the mid 70's which is perfect. We're more or less going to sight-see and drink @ night but we are thinking about an ATV Adrenaline Tour. Sounds pretty cool. I personally am DYING to ride the 2 new rides on top of the Stratosphere but I hear that if there is ANY bit of wind they shut them down or even a chance of wind.

The Hotel was one of my favorites. Now, Wynn/Encore are my favorite. I don't like Bellagio so much except for the gambling.

It's in a great spot though. I would rather be a little further North, but everythign is so easy to get to there it really doesn't matter where you stay. I prefer off-strip really, but I am thre every month. The strip gets old and is VERY expensive comparatively.

How the hell did I miss this thread?!? I'm actually going to be in Vegas next week from Monday through Friday. It's going to be my first time out there (and my girlfriend's first time as well).

We're staying at Excalibur, but only because a friend got us our rooms for the week for free. I can deal with some rugrats running around for what's still a decent hotel for $0!!!

You would be surprised - Travel is down over 50% and Hotels are hurting - The Wynn enjoyed a 95% occupancy rate since opening - Now, they are in the 70% range - He may be blind but Mr Wynn does not like loosing money - They have deals all the time

Hell, my last trip to Miami, we got rooms for under $200.00 a night at The Delano - These rooms (ocean side of course) go for over $600.00 a night

Call around and play their competition against each other and you would be surprised what you can accomplish

I'm pretty sure it's still there, however, I highly suggest staying away from that side of the strip. Infact, there's no need to go past the Encore unless you HAVE to see Freemont Street once in your lifetime.

btw...once your there sign up for a players card in every casino you go into. I gambled once at Wynn and get offers all the time for $129/night. Venetian has comped me for a week, and MGM also sends me stuff constantly worth considering. I've stayed in MGM's Signature towers once, those rooms are some of the nicest around and I love MGM's pool. Venetian is old reliable for me. I love that place, but that's for me and my wife. If I was going by myself or with a group of guys pimpin' it up I'd be hittin' up Bug for advice!!!
