As long as they don't salt the roads, I could care less.

4-8 in where? I checked weather channel and all it said was light snow Sunday morning. Plus the ground is fairly warm so I don't think it will all stick.

@ Troy. You're getting everyone all worked up.

The system that's over Colorado and the Plains is heading our way and the northern end will brush us tomorrow.

It'll be colder and we'll get some flurries but I doubt any accumulation.

I'm bummed because I just bought a roadbike and I haven't had the chance to ride it!

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!

I bleed GREEN

For some reason, many meteoroloists consistently f-up snowfall predictions. One guy that seems to get it right more than most is John Dee. This guy is basically worshipped by the snowmobile crowd. He does have a slight tendency to err on the side of more, rather than less, but here's his 4 day forecast.

With the ground fully thawed, how much will stick? Maybe half. If the storm changes track significantly, things could change as we're on the eastern edge of the predicted track...

If there's enough snow to make the roads wet, there will be salt spread...Some of you guys ain't from around here, are you? In my 50 something years I've seen at least a half dozen Cubs & Sox opening days snowed out and measurable snow (covered grassy areas) on Mothers Day twice...on one of the occasions I had to go into work and mount taligate spreaders and spinners and spread salt!
Don't like the weather in Chicago?...Stick around, it'll change!

"Dirt is for racing on...Asphalt is for getting there" OR "Flat trackers go in deeper and come out harder... OR (With apologies to General MaCarthur) "Old motorcycle racers never die, they just slip off the groove and fade into the dust!

If you want to anger a conservative, tell him a lie. To anger a liberal all one must do is tell the truth!

Don't worry about salt in chicago. They can't afford any. Daley spent the money on repaving his driveway for the 2016 games.
