Pretty Nasty Spill!!!

Just want to check to see if anyone knows of the individual out here in Joliet who went down on Houbolt Rd. Last night?

Shit was pretty bad Dude wasn't breathing for a decent time and began gasping for air about a minute before the Ambulance got there. Did have a helmet on and what not but it looks like he may have lost a finger and shit! Esssh!

Not sure how the wipeout took place or who he is but what I do know is the speed at which it happened at was HIGH! I hope this guy is alright whoever he is....

But seriously 100+ down a side street??? NOT SMART! Especially there where theres a college a good amount of traffic and A TON OF intersecting streets!

Lets ride our rides and be safe this season.........

hadn't heard about that, but 100+ on houbolt is less than smart. 8 years ago, it wasn't as big of deal.

*sigh* I really hate how riding season always starts with a bunch of accidents.

When the pepper spray runs out, can I have your number?

NOT saying I hope this guy DOESN"T fully recover, but seriously, he's not getting my sympathies.

If you're willing to take the chance of speeding, doing wheelies, or even riding without a helmet, you damn well know the consequences of your actions.

100 MPH? thats not bad luck......he had total control over the situation.

seriously, look at it this way do you really wanna say, "Awwwwwww poor guy, he was riding wrecklessly in an area full of side streets and could have killed someone, but he hurt himself instead.......I feel so bad for that person......."

excuse me for venting, but it seems like the greater chicagoland area has more motorcycle idiots than any other city I've been to.

*rant off* back to the thread at hand

No I don't know anything about this.

Regardless of it what he was doing was irresponsible or wreckless I still dont want anyone suffering. What color and kind of bike did that person have? I know a few people out in that area but have not had any calls so that is a good thing. From your story the guy was being an idoit but regardless I hope he gets well soon.

Man, between all the crashes that have already occurred, the ones I've seen and the bathtub-sized pothole I nearly lost my car in tonight I've all but totally put off street riding this year. It's fucked even if you're doing everything right.

I might come off as a dick, but I don't really feel sorry for him getting hurt. I mean, it's at a high-traffic residential area at triple digit speeds, but he wanted to be johnny bad-ass, which could have put alot of other people's lives in danger. Riders like him are the reason we start wearing gear and going to safety classes and riding track instead of street. You know how many people's lives are saved after they see a bad accident and change the way they ride?

I understood what you were saying completely. I was just saying i wish no one any harm or pain. He gets what he deserves. I think you know what I am trying to say.
