Road-Tested the gear

Yep... It works! I am the lastest one to be bit by the crash Gremlin. I'm glad I had my gear on. I came out with bumps and bruises. My helmet tells the whole story...

Live to ride another day!

Lady blew a stopsign and pulled out in front of me. Tires weren't fully warmed up and the front end tucked. Worst part is she took off and nobody got a plate. 2 other witnesses there said she blew the stop sign.

Sorry to hear about that. Did you get checked out to make sure you are ok? If that helmet hit her car, save it. If they catch her, the police may be able to compare paint from your helmet to her car. State police did that with a co-worker of mine. Take it easy, let us know if you need something.

Everything missed the car so it was classified as "Single Vehicle". Just some bruises and sore back muscles.

Bad part is nobody got a damn plate number!

Glad to hear you're OK, but it sucks that not only did she skate, but she probably never even noticed you or the stop sign. Idiots, I hate idiots...

Sweet! Battlewounds!

If that was me, I woulda jumped up, grabbed my bike, started on one wheel chasing this lady, and once I caught up with her, I'd ram my front tire through her back windshield and step on my rear brake to stop her, pull her out of her car and get her information.

Good to hear it was minor - buff it out and get a new lid!

The real problem is that the driver either (1) didn't even realize what she did since she was probably jabbing on the phone, or (2) cared more about herself and getting out of there without a ticket then taking responsibilty for her actions and stopping.

That usually seems to be the case more often than not. Can't tell you how many times I've avoided an accident with someone who was yapping away on their cell phone completely oblivious to what was going on around them. Boils me blood....arrrrrh!

Oh.... She knew what she did. She looked right at me not only as she was pulling out, but after I hopped up and was still in the intersection. She took off while I was trying to figure out if I was OK, if it was just the adrenaline that was making me feel mostly OK, and was trying to regain composure. Nobody got a plate # either.

Seeing as neither the bike nor I made contact with the car, and nobody got a plate, the officer said there wasn't much they could do. He didn't like it too much when I pointed out it was a dead end street and he should watch the stop sign or something for an hour. She has to go home sometime?

At least he took it in stride knowing how pissed I was.
