What's going on in Joliet tonight?!

Just got pulled over by the police on the way home from Jewel--~2 mile drive. Turned the corner into the correct lane, as I always do, signaled to get into the left lane and look in the mirror and there's a Joliet officer flying up on me. I was doing zero wrong. I noticed a county sheriff sitting at the light when I turned, and he pulled up behind the city after I pulled over. about 30 sec later a third car, also Joliet, pulled up behind him. I was like WTF did I do?!? guy comes up real nice asks for my docs. no problem. looks at the front noticing there was no front plate. told him the car was in a crash previously and i never fixed the bracket, which is totally true. comes back with my stuff and says he's not writing me for the plate. I ask him if something is going on. He replies "there's always something going on". I say that one individual doesn't usually require 3 cars and 6 officers for a standard traffic stop. He just kinda smiles and tells me to have a nice night. reminds me of supertroopers.

HDTony.... Damn glad to meet you!

Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.

On Saturday night going to the city on I-94 there was one car pulled over, there were two local cops and 4 unmarked cops, and one lane was blocked off. Looked like an episode of DEA.
