Pick My Color Scheme - SV650 - Contest

Ok all, here is your chance to help me shape the future of my 2006 SV650. I want to get it painted, plastics are off. I don't want to do the typical paint scheme for it like black, yellow, red, blah blah. I need something creative and unique, but not ridiculous.

So, here is my challenge to you all

Find some images of a color scheme you think would look good on an SV650. I have attached images of the bike as it is now. The plastics are all as you see them here. Post up your ideas in a linked image.

If I pick your color scheme, you will receive a $50.00 gift card to Best Buy! That's right! I will PAY you if I choose your idea, so make it count.

When I settle on a scheme, I will let everyone know. If I go with my own scheme, you are SOL, thanks for playing, kbye. If I go with YOUR scheme, you get the gift card. If your scheme matches someone else's, the first one who posted it gets the card. The decision of the judges (me) will be final and will not be up for debate, reasoning, or complaints

So this is not for sale at Chicago Performance?

There's a picture of an SV on the SVrider.com forum of a guy who mounted 748/916 style bodywork. That looked sweet. Also whatever scheme + white rims always looks good to me.

If I had the $$ I would do something like this...

Also, I am not adverse to having the frame pieces painted as well...

Flat black for the base, then camo using semi-gloss and gloss.

I may just be partial to orange lately because my new bike is orange, but I think something like this would look cool

I would paint the front hugger, the front fairing, and the tank orange; then the belly pan, and the rest of the rear black. Would look awesome IMO.

Try to post up a good straight on side shot of your bike, that way the photochop folk could probably do up something cool

If you paint it blue and white with GSXR decals it will be a little faster.

Paint the plastics a gun metal color (similar to Tony's Duc, but have to make it a little different)

Powder coat the rearsets and other various parts black to match the frame.

Paint the motor to match the frame.

Powdercoat the wheels and fork lowers a flat bronze, similar to these:

Keep the current logos on the bike the same style, but make them the bronze color as well.

It will be similar to this, but still different:

Since you like to go on Girls Only rides I would follow suit with the rest of the girls and go pink! Pink chain, pink decals, pink rim tape, pink plastics, etc.

Paul,

I came across this web site, hopefully it will give you some ideas. I'm not sure that I *love* any of the designs, but the quality of the job is amazing, possibly some of the best I have ever seen.
